Here are some examples of lessons that I designed for my advanced class. Most of the times I start from some current events, a post on social media, a topic that Italians talk about or a theme that is part of the cultural, socio-economic reality of the Italian society. I then create questions to engage class discussions, activities to practice and assess the cultural topics, and most of the time I create exercises that replicate the exam tasks, so that students get prepared not only for the AP themes, but also for the AP exam. Activities with multiple choice questions, argumentative essays, conversations, email replies and cultural comparisons are included in my lessons on a regular basis.
